ABOUT

The Hour Glass is an historic pub at the heart of the Brompton Quarter, just a couple of minutes’ from South Kensington tube station. Run by Brett Hardy, General Manager, and Sean Marsh, Head Chef, the Hour Glass is a traditional London boozer – small and perfectly formed with plenty of ledges to prop yourself up against with a refreshing pint of ale. Upstairs there’s new dining room; a beautiful light and airy room with traditional elements but an informal, modern feel.

Food is served in the pub as well as the dining room with everything from bar snacks such as pickled eggs and homemade pork scratchings, to a full a la carte menu containing beautifully cooked seasonal British dishes.

So, whether you want to settle in for a few drinks or a meal with a group of friends or sit at the window by yourself and watch the eccentricity of Kensington and Chelsea wander by, we hope you’ll find us traditional, unfussy and welcoming.

Oh and we’re dog friendly in the bar downstairs. There should be a water bowl knocking around somewhere…
